Access to the sanctuary is easy via the ramp!
On Sundays, we have Sunday School for your children. It is a time to engage with the Bible story in a one-room class.

Rev. HaYoung Kang

Lead Pastor
Rev. HaYoung Kang is a third-generation Methodist who joyfully proclaims God's transforming, liberating, and life-giving love. A native of South Korea, she earned a B.A. in Theology and Communications from Yonsei University and an M.Div. from Drew Theological School. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Theological and Philosophical Studies in Religion at Drew University's Graduate Division of Religion. Rev. Kang has been actively engaged in preaching, pastoral care, Christian education, and community ministry. She is passionate about nurturing faithful discipleship, cultivating servant leadership, and helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Outside of ministry and academic life, she enjoys listening to rock music and practicing Taekwondo.

Rev. YoonCheol Shin

YoonCheol Shin (he/him/his) feels blessed to continue working with God's people and to be a channel of Jesus’ love for the world. Yoon was born in South Korea and raised in the Dominican Republic. In the Dominican Republic, he served as a missionary alongside his parents, collaborating with Dominican and Haitian people in marginalized urban and rural communities.

Jill Crawford
Music Director
Jill Crawford serves as music director of UVUMC, leading singers, bell
choir, and instrumentalists when we gather to worship. Elsewhere, she
is an active flutist and educator, teaching classes and private lessons at Westminster Conservatory, Albrook Montessori School, and her home
studio. Having studied music at New England Conservatory (BM) and
Mason Gross School of Arts, Rutgers (MM), she settled in New Jersey
and began to teach and learn to play the organ. She served
congregations in Hightstown, Union, Maplewood, and worked as a
supply musician for various churches before joining the staff of Union
Village UMC in 2011.

Yongyeon Kim
Youth Minister
Yongyeon holds a Bachelor of Theology from Methodist Theological University in Seoul, South Korea. He is currently a Master of Divinity student at Drew Theological School. Having served as a youth pastor at Samchun Methodist Church for more than three years, he now brings his ministry experience to Union Village and Bernardsville United Methodist Churches. He is dedicated to his theological growth and is honored to serve within these local faith communities.
